A custom designed website for a Melbourne collectable cards business who ships worldwide.
The Clients Brief
APT Collectables approached Masters of Digital wanting an online presence where he was in control, and did not have to pay high fees everytime he sold an item. He also mentioned he had too many products, and listing them on eBay took too much of his time.
He also wanted his website to be easy to navigate, and have all the necessary categories so customers would easily find what they’re looking for.
Since he would be selling worldwide, the website would also have to have a currency converter, so customers could see how much they would be paying for an item in their currency.
How We Helped
Using the website brief, and the conversation we’ve had, we began designing APT Collectables’ website. We placed a currency converter at the very top of the website, and chose colours which would stand out, that way customers cannot miss it. The amount of information we had to incorporate into the header meant we had to create a custom header so everything displayed clearly and there was no confusion when looking at the website.
Three of APT Collectables’ main selling points were also implemented right below the main menu, using a subtle grey as a background so it’s easy on the eye. Following that, we implemented a custom category menu with images, making the whole finding & buying process quicker for customers. Since cards are sought after and they sell quickly, we’ve also implemented a featured items carousel on the Homepage, that way customers can see what’s trending at any given moment.
APT Collectables turned his hobby into a business, and wanted to be able to share his story with his customers, so we’ve also introduced an about snippet on the homepage, where customers could see how it all started, and what makes APT Collectables who they are.
Since Anthony is very active on social media, and takes pre-orders for collectables which aren’t listed yet, he wanted customers to be able to see what was coming in and going out through his social media, so we’ve incorporated a live social media feed on his website, along with customers reviews, and the possibility of signing up to his newsletter where all of his latest releases would be featured.
As a final touch, Anthony also wanted customers to be able to use Afterpay should they wish to, so we’ve implemented and linked Afterpay to his website, giving customers different payment methods on checkout.
APT Collectables at present has over 46,000 items listed on the website.
